Message from Father Charles
Welcome to Saint Benedict Catholic Church! I am delighted that you have stopped by our website to find out more about our parish.
At St. Benedict’s we know that we are all individual parts of the mystical Body of Christ. The real beauty of our church is our parishioners. The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches: “When his visible presence was taken from them, Jesus did not leave his disciples orphans. He promised to remain with them until the end of time; he sent them his Spirit. As a result communion with Jesus has become, in a way, more intense: ‘By communicating his Spirit, Christ mystically constitutes as his body those brothers of his who are called together from every nation.’”
This is precisely manifested in the parish setting where we receive the Body and Blood of Christ, listen to the Word of God proclaimed, find forgiveness of our sins in Reconciliation, communal support, and ways to give life to our faith. The parish church is a living, breathing entity because in it God interacts with His people. We invite and encourage you to join us as we pray, work, and play together: we hope that this will be your experience of St. Benedict’s and that you will find warmth and hospitality here in a spiritually and emotionally nourishing environment.We are all on a journey in life seeking to walk with Christ, and I invite you to come along and walk with us on the journey. For the past 14+ years, Jackie Edrington has coordinated our Blanket Ministry. Primarily an outreach ministry of consolation and prayer, our Blanket Ministry also served an important need in the early days of the Covid shut down making masks and gowns for health care professions in our area. Jacke recently decided to step down as coordinator, though will remain involved in the ministry. Thank you, Jackie, for your years of dedicated service! Please join me in welcoming Susan Treuting as the new coordinator of the Blank Ministry.Read More

The Mass Intention Book will open on November 3rd for all intentions to be accepted throughout 2026. Mass requests will be honored on a firstcome, first-serve basis in the order in which the request is received at the parish office. No Mass request will be taken over the telephone. Mass request must be made in person in the parish office, or in writing and placed in the collection basket or mailed to the office. Forms for requesting a Mass can be obtained from the parish office, in the back of the church, or available online on the parish website.Read More

Saturday, November 1st is the Solemnity of All Saints and is NOT a Holy Day of Obligation. We will have Mass at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 2nd is the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls). We will have a special Mass to pray for all the faithful departed, especially all the members of the parish who have died during the past year at the 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.Read More

Online giving will allow you to donate to our general collection, our building fund, and our ministries. (The ability to give to Second Collections will be added later.)

The Parish office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

If you have a sacramental emergency and are in need of Father Charles, please call the office and if the voicemail answers, please follow the prompt and press “2” to be routed to the emergency line. -
