The original Angel Tree Program started many years ago as a way to help the children of low-income families in this area receive Christmas gifts. Over the years, our program has expanded. We have added additional angels with help from various organizations in our community. Currently, we help seniors, ages 65 and older and children, ages 16 and younger through St. Benedict’s Lunch Ministry and PSR Program, Fairhaven Orphanage, St. Tammany Operation Christmas and through the Church Office.
In 2020, despite the Covid issues, St. Benedict Church Parish provided 150 Angels with gifts during the Christmas Season.
Our Annual Angel Tree will be set up in church Saturday, November 18th. Please take one or more Angels and complete the attached light green tag with your name and phone number and turn in the tag(s) before leaving church. Team members will be available to assist you and collect your light green tag(s). Purchase one or more gifts from the wish list on the Angel and return to church by Sunday, December 3rd. The gift(s) should be unwrapped and placed in a gift bag with your Angel securely attached. We look forward to your generous support of this Christmas tradition.
