Thank you to everyone who made our Christmas liturgies beautiful and inspiring. From the music ministry to the ushers, deacons to the lectors, and everyone else who assisted, your commitment to the liturgy is very much appreciated. Thanks also to the members of the Altar Society and Men’s Club who helped decorate the Church. In a special way, we would like to thank Betty Lemoine who coordinated the poinsettias and who coordinates the flowers on the altar every week of the year.
This year our parish-wide Christmas Party will be held on February 2nd the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. (The party will begin at 6 p.m.) This is considered a Christmas feast, even though it is no longer part of the Christmas season. This the last feast of the liturgical calendar that we commemorate Christ as an infant child. February 2nd is also the World Day for Consecrated Life. Not only will we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ at the party, but we will also honor all of the consecrated women and men (nuns, sisters, brothers, and priests) who live in St. Benedict Parish.
The Lunch Ministry collected enough items for numerous Christmas Baskets. Baskets were delivered and greatly appreciated by all who received them. THANK YOU for your support.
As of January 1st, our 2023 offering envelopes will be mailed to your home every other month by Church Budget Envelope Co. If you are not currently receiving envelopes and would like to or if you have yet to receive your 2023 January envelopes, please contact Channon at the Parish Office (892-5202). We also ask you to consider utilizing our parish’s online give program, which is the safest and most convenient way to support the parish financially. The link and QR code can be found in the “Stewardship” post.
The Parish Office will be closed until Tuesday, January 3rd, in observance of New Year’s. We would like to wish everyone a very Blessed and Happy New Year, and for those who will be traveling a safe trip to and from their destinations.
