Father Charles will have his Annual 39th Birthday on March 11th. We will have a Birthday Celebration for him on Saturday, March 11th, following the 5:30 p.m. Mass.

The Archdiocese of New Orleans will be honoring Catholics who are celebrating their 50th, 60th and 70th Anniversary in 2023. The Archdiocesan Golden Anniversary celebration, which is a Prayer Service will take place on Sunday, June 25th at 3 p.m. at St. Philip Neri in Metairie. In addition to our normal prayer, fasting, and almsgiving this Lent, please consider personally reflecting on the Sunday readings with fellow parishioners. Beginning on the first Sunday of Lent and continuing throughout Lent after the 8:00 a.m. Sunday Mass, you are invited to share your reflections on the readings by breaking open the word. With other adults, we hope to informally share a few words or ideas from either the first reading, Psalm, second reading, or Gospel that were inspiring, offered peace, or challenging. As we share our reflections, we hope to deepen our faith and increase our recognition of God’s presence in our parish community. Each gathering will be limited to no more than 30 minutes. We will meet immediately after the 8:00 Mass in the Drexel Classroom of the Catechetical Center.

Our parish and Catholic Communities throughout the United States do something amazing each Lent. We come together to pray, fast and give alms-and by doing so we help lift families and communities out of poverty and put them on a path toward resilience, prosperity and stability. That’s the CRS Rice Bowl effect. Rice Bowls will be available for pick-up in the back of church beginning this weekend. Inside the bowls are suggested prayers, readings and facts about the work of Catholic Relief Services.
